Bar Downbeat is a trans & enby inclusive space for WLW to relax, chat about life, and flirt.We aim to bring the feeling of a safe, cozy, intimate jazz bar where everyone can truly be themselves.Patrons are encouraged to talk in /say to keep a lively and fun atmosphere full of chatter. Of course, we understand some conversations require more privacy...The venue features a 7-seat bar, multiple cozy booth seats and comfy benches to lounge on. A lofted second floor offers excellent views of the stage and extra seating, with many aquariums to enjoy as well! We've done our best to make Downbeat warm and comfortable, so find your favourite spot and your favourite person and just relax.We offer a variety of drinks and dishes to ease conversation and whet the appetite.
Rules
Bar Downbeat is an 18+ venue. Lalafell are also off-limits for flirting or eRP, though still welcome to come relax and chat.Being a space meant for girls who like girls, men are encouraged to instead visit one of the many other venues Eorzea offers.
Trans women, non-binary folks, and bi/pan/etc people are of course welcome - so long as you love women, you have a space here!This is an 18+ venue that welcomes RP, but doesn't require it. If you want to chat OOC, feel free, but patrons are encouraged to respond in kind to RP conversations. Also, please don't ruin anyone else's fun if they're talking IC by making rude comments.If you're going to be getting hot & heavy during business hours, please take it to a private room or elsewhere. The main floor is meant to be a comfy place to relax.Bigotry of any kind is not tolerated. There are no strikes. You will be thrown out.Consent is KEY in all interactions with staff and patrons. After we "close" for the night, Bar Downbeat gets a lot more naughty.We transition into what patrons have affectionately dubbed "degen hours".
Stick around for a different vibe, as the staff and patrons partake in:- Truth or Dare: Usually run by a member of staff, we go in rounds and give everyone interested a chance to play. No limits except the players' personal ones!- Gambling: Deathrolls, Striple Triad, and occasionally Blackjack are on offer - no need to bet cash, your clothes work just as well!- Nudity: A natural result of the above, this is especially fun if you're a part of our syncshell or share your Mare code with others.- ERP: Patrons are welcome to get frisky anywhere in the bar, and everyone enjoys those mis-tells!
